Description
In a different reality, a man-like creature rides an Iguana in the street desert. This colorful spray painting is just one of many found in the Industrial section of Greenpoint Brooklyn. Federico Massa, also known in his section of the art world as Iena Cruz, or CRUZ, is a Brooklyn based Italian artist born in Milan in 1981. He came to NYC from Milan, Italy five years ago, and he currently retain a Green Card visa in the United States for Extraordinary Ability. Federico attended the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, a top art institute in Milan (class of 2006). It was there that he developed a blend of calculated fine art painting mixed with spray paint and stencilling that he become known for. In 2011 the luxury fashion brand MARC JACOBS commissioned Massa to create sixty limited-edition leather bags to be hand painted in graffiti style that were sold during fashion week at the fashion department store Printemps in Paris.
